Ahead of the crucial MCD elections in Delhi, a senior Cabinet minister said he had a good reason to be confident of a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) win. The reason? Voters were unaware of the party’s mayoral candidate. He said, in the just-concluded Assembly elections in Uttar Pradesh, the party didn't unveil or push a chief ministerial candidate and it went on to sweep the elections. “It is a great strategy to follow. People will look at (Prime Minister Narendra) Modiji’s photo and the party symbol, the lotus flower, and cast their votes for BJP,” he declared.
