As is common this time of the year many corporate houses are organising their annual get-together with the media.
At one such event last week, journalists were accosted by nearly a dozen photographers at the entrance who were urging those entering the party to pose for photos.
If you agreed, you would be subject to the same treatment that the paparazzi mete out to senior corporate executives and celebrities — flashing bulbs and “look here” requests. By the time the party was over, the photographs were ready for the journalist to take back home as a memento.
