Business Standard New Delhi
"Jeete toh CM, haare toh PM (If he wins he will be CM; if he loses he will be PM)" is being said about Home Minister Rajnath Singh in the corridors of power in Uttar Pradesh. It loosely translates into the hope that the former UP chief minister's supporters have about him: that Singh would be the natural choice for chief minister yet again if the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) wins the Assembly polls in the state. The interesting subtext, however, is the second part of this subterranean propaganda.
