Senior Janata Dal (United) member of the Rajya Sabha K C Tyagi had a bone to pick with Deputy Chairperson of the House P J Kurien. Tyagi said Kurien's pronunciation of the names of some current and former members could be misconstrued. For instance, Tyagi said Kurien addressed former Congress member of Parliament Vijaylakshmi Sadho as "Sadhu" and actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar as "Babur". Even Congress member of Parliament Rajni Patil's surname was mispronounced as "Patel", said Tyagi. "The electoral prospects for Raj Babbar would be adverse should he be misconstrued as 'Babur'," he joked. Kurien shot back, smiling: "But I have never made any changes to your name... But is Tyagi the real tyagi (self-sacrificer)? That is the problem."
