Dull moments are rare when senior lawyer Ram Jethmalani appears in court. And so it was on Wednesday morning, when the 90-year-old lost his cool minutes before placing Subrata Roy's petition before the chief justice's bench at the Supreme Court. He was so angry that he walked out of the court room. The targets of his ire were his assistants and the Sahara support staff since they had not drafted the application according to his instructions. "You guys don't do anything," he shouted at them, "I wanted you to give minute-by-minute details of what happened [on March 4, the day Roy made his belated appearance in the Supreme Court]." As nervous junior lawyers ran helter-skelter to fulfill his demands, senior lawyers C A Sundaram and Ravi Shankar Prasad worked hard to to cool Jethmalani down and get him back to the court room.
