What do you do with a lovely painting if it clashes with your decor? Or your sensibilities? Master blaster Sachin Tendulkar took no chances with famous Bengali painter Jogen Chowdhury.
So when it was decided Tendulkar was to be presented a painting by Chowdhury at a function in Kolkata, on the eve of the India-Sri Lanka match, Tendulkar decided he’d indicate his preferences. A photograph of his Mumbai drawing room was given to Chowdhury and, it appears, Tendulkar even specified the clothing of the woman in the picture.
