West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee loves to explore tourist destinations. She also uses her poetic inclination to often rename the new places she visits. One of her recent explorations led her to Gajoldoba, a pristine landscape off the banks of the Teesta river in the hilly terrains of north Bengal, which she fondly renamed "Bhorer Alo" (morning light). However, at the recent Bengal Global Business Summit, state Finance Minister Amit Mitra was caught out when he mistakenly referred to "Bhorer Alo" as "Bhorer Sagar" (morning sea). As the perplexed audience tried to come to terms with the massive geographical shift - from the hills to the sea - Banerjee pointed out it was "Alo" not "Sagar".
