Business Standard New Delhi
A decision to impose speed limits on vehicles in Mumbai has reached the Bombay High Court. The suggested limit of 80 km per hour is being contested by a taxi union in Mumbai — it is of the view there is no need to impose a limit. While hearing the case, the vacation bench said, on a lighter note, that heavy traffic on the city roads anyway didn’t allow vehicles to move faster than 50 km per hour.
