Bombay has been listed among 30-odd cuss words in English and Hindi that the Central Board of Film Certification wants removed from films. The censor board has written to the regional offices and the film producers' association asking them not to allow the listed words while giving films the green signal. So now if a film mentions "Bombay", and not Mumbai while referring to the city, the regional censor boards will have to order cuts. The move has raised many eyebrows since the board has not banned "Bangalore", "Calcutta" and "Madras".
