Bad start

The National Conference-Congress alliance in Jammu & Kashmir is off to a bad start. Though the NC made it clear that it would not accept any ‘tainted’ ministers, at least three ministers who took their oaths of office on Monday face legal proceedings, in cases ranging from embezzlement to accepting bribes from job-seekers. While the NC did not make an issue of this, the Congress does not want to answer any questions relating to its choice of ministers.
