Buoyant hopes of economic revival – soaring stock markets, booming exports, surging tax collections, falling inflation – and much energy from the government in terms of programmes and initiatives have coincided with the festive season. Given that economic growth forecasts are predicated on last year’s low base, the final numbers are nothing much to write home about, however.
