Business Standard New Delhi
The catastrophic defeat of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Bihar Assembly polls might send the party flying into the arms of the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in West Bengal, believes the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M). And it would be a win-win for both. After losing Bihar, the BJP needs to find an ally in national politics, especially in the Rajya Sabha to pass bills. And the TMC needs the BJP to help it evade the Central Bureau of Investigation in the Saradha scam, says CPI-M politburo member Mohammed Salim.
