Blocked, not bounced

A senior journalist has filed a case in the Delhi High Court against a former employer — it has been alleged that the cheques he had been given at the time of his leaving had bounced. The employer has taken the plea that the cheques had not bounced, but he had asked the bank not to clear them since the former editor had not kept to his side of the agreement. Given the large number of bounced cheque cases, it could be a while before it is heard, but the judgment will have implications for a very large number of bounced cheque cases.
