Entry to the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) has become tougher for bureaucrats now. Many of them, who would frequent the PMO for meetings during the Congress-led United Progressive Alliance government, have now been told not to enter the high-security office in the absence of their bosses or even accompany their supervisors unless they are specifically invited. The role of the PMO mainly involves providing secretarial assistance to the prime minister.
