Can't be friends

During the UPA government’s last tenure, Rural Development Minister Raghuvansh Prasad Singh was the darling of the Congress brass for his pro-poor attitude and performance. But Singh was hesitant to attend the government’s swearing-in ceremony given his party’s estranged relations with the Congress. His aides finally convinced Singh to attend the programme — so he attended the swearing in, but never attended the tea party after it.
