A television channel started by a tainted politician some time back is in trouble. It has virtually no viewership and so the owner considered shutting it down. A chief minister who thinks the channel would be a good platform in the coming parliamentary election, however, persuaded the owner to keep the channel alive. The promoter is in a bind: if he carries on, there are huge losses to fund; if he closes it down, he incurs the chief minister’s displeasure.
