Chandy taken down a peg

Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy claims that there are no dissenting voices within the Congress party to his decision to impose prohibition in the state. Perhaps, he doesn't engage with the social media because the irrepressible MP from Thiruvanthapuram Shashi Tharoor, has been acidly critical of the decision in tweets and blogs. "Classic cartoon to gladden the hearts of all Kerala prohibitionists!" he tweeted about a cartoon showing a wife snatching away the last bottle of whisky to save for the husband's funeral. In another tweet he said, "Self-inflicted wounds: @KeralaTourism staring at disaster as new liquor policy kicks in."
