Chawla says it with a smile

Recently, when dates for Maharashtra, Haryana and Arunachal Pradesh Assembly elections were announced at a press conference of the Election Commission, some journalists asked Chief Election Commissioner Navin Chawla, “Why did you decide on single-phase polls?” Chawla quipped with a smile on his face, “When we decide on a five or six phase polls, you say why is the duration so long? Now, when we have made the shortest possible schedule, again you have questions.”
