At a briefing on John Kerry's visit, Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin was asked whether the MEA will take up the issue of poultry imports from the US, on which a case has been pending at the World Trade Organisation's Dispute Settlement Body. Pretending not to understand the query, Akbaruddin's curt reply was, "I did not know that MEA dealt with chickens."
