Common ties

Apart from giving sleepless nights to the government of the day, the former Chief Election Commissioner T N Seshan and the present Comptroller and Auditor General Vinod Rai have one more thing in common. And that is that both, for the first time, opened the gates of their institutions to the press, which before their terms were a no-go area. Interestingly, the official who advised Seshan is the same as the one handling the press for Rai currently.
