If the roadshow of Prime Minister Narendra Modi competed for crowds with the combined roadshow of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav and Congress Vice-president Rahul Gandhi in the bylanes of Varanasi, there was an equal contest on social media. Several Congress and Samajwadi Party supporters complained how news channels gave live coverage to the PM’s roadshow and largely ignored the roadshow of the rival parties.
