Billionaires are losing their billions. A year ago, the runaway stock market was creating Indians with Rs 100 crore-plus wealth faster than anywhere else in the world. Most of those fortunes have been well and truly swept away by the tsunami that engulfed stock markets in 2008, as The Billionaire Club, Business Standard’s list of the wealthiest people in the country (published on Saturday), showed.
