A month is an eternity on social media. The Bodos and Bengali Muslims first clashed a little over a month ago. Horrific images purporting to be from the affected districts appeared almost immediately on the interwebs. Some pictures were genuine, culled from media or taken by witnesses on cell phones. Other images were retrieved from the 2004 tsunami and the 2008 earthquake. The texts and captions ranged from the factual to the blatantly false.
