Highlighting the achievements of his Congress-led UDF government in its first 100 days in power, Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who was camping in Delhi this week, said he and his ministers had been running a round-the-clock call centre to take complaints and grievances of people in his state. He also listed distribution of 600,000 ration cards and a provision to issue ration cards on the same day of filing an application as his other achievements. Chandy, who revived the Rs 1,700-crore Smart City IT project — a joint venture of the Kerala and Dubai governments, abandoned by the previous government — said his motto was “development and care”. And, the name he chose for the 100 days of achievements is “development yatra”. It is similar to L K Advani’s Rath yatra. “But it is a more positive one,” he says.
