Some workers suspended from Japanese automaker Honda's two-wheeler plant in Rajasthan have found a novel way to draw attention to their lot and press for reinstatement. These workers, suspended in February for allegedly disrupting operations at the plant, embarked on a kanwar yatra, an annual pilgrimage of Shiva devotees, to highlight their grievances against the company.
Some of them could be seen wearing T-shirts with messages for the Honda management scrawled across the back; a truck was seen draped with a banner that read: ''Bhagwan bholenath Honda management ko sadbuddhi dein; nikaale gaye shramiko ko wapas lein." (Let lord Shiva endow the Honda management with wisdom; let them take back dismissed workers.)
