Digital dilemma

Business Standard New Delhi
Telecom minister Ravi Shankar Prasad insisted that digital payment was part of Digital India at the Make in India Mumbai event. The claims were laid to rest just a few metres away from Prasad at the food court. A huge crowd flocked to the stalls that sold everything from Indian thalis to sushi and beer. But many of the popular stalls refused to accept credit cards or payment through digital wallets, and asked for cash. A regular sandwich along with a drink would set you back by Rs 500 - not a lot of money but considering there was no ATM on the premises it meant you had to carry a wad of notes in your pocket.
