G Sanjeeva Reddy, president of the Congress-affiliated trade union Intuc, has joined hands with Leftist trade unions and others to protest against the price rise and labour law violations in the UPA regime. When a journalist asked him if Intuc has drawn inspiration from the Egypt uprising in which various forces joined hands to secure the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, Reddy retorted: “Our collaboration started more than two years ago. At that time, nothing was happening in Cairo. Maybe the workers of Egypt took a clue from us.”
