Eyes on the prize

When asked whether the Congress promise of freebies to voters if elected to power in next month's legislative Assembly elections in Delhi had anything to do with the perceived threat from the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), Ajay Maken, the party's face for the coming polls, said, "While AAP's Arvind Kejriwal and BJP's Kiran Bedi are busy attacking each other and playing personality politics, we in the Congress have set our focus clearly. Like Arjuna in Mahabharata, who had his eye firmly fixed on the target, the eye of the bird, the Congress party too is firmly focused on the welfare of the people."
