On the sidelines of Dena Bank's platinum jubilee function last weekend, Financial Services Secretary Rajiv Takru was asked whether he and the finance ministry were concerned about the fact that most public sector banks had reported lower profits in the fourth quarter of 2012-13. "That's an interesting question. It is akin to asking someone who got bashed up on the road how he feels about it," he said with a chuckle. And then, just in case the journalists hadn't got the message, he added, "I am not in love with it, no."
