It was a ghar wapsi of sorts for Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha. On Tuesday, Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar and his wife hosted journalists, ministers and Bharatiya Janata Party leaders to a sumptuous Marathi lunch at their new residence at 6, Kushak Road. Sinha said he had fond memories of the bungalow, as his father, Yashwant Sinha, was its previous occupant, spending more than a decade there. The lunch also gave Javadekar an opportunity to showcase the achievements of the environment ministry under his charge. A huge board put up at the venue claimed that Javadekar had energised the ministry, which was caught in policy paralysis. The guests, however, seemed more keen on sampling the puran polis and kokum soda that was being served as the minister's wife, Prachee Javadekar, played the gracious host.
