If you’re wondering just how xenophobic the US is, a recent news piece from wire agency Associated Press is a good example. The piece, about dozens of US banks who’ve received more than $150 billion of bailout funds from the US government, says that AP reviewed the visa applications of these banks and found they’d, over the past six years, requested for more than 21,800 visas for foreign workers who, on average, earned $90,721 which is nearly twice the median income for all American households.
