Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Assam to cement a pre-poll alliance has not gone down well with the state's chief minister, Tarun Gogoi. On the PM's oratory skills, Gogoi said, "We must salute him as an actor." Why? Apparently, the chief minister submitted a memorandum to Modi, urging him, among other things, to restore special category status for the state as well as fund flow from the Centre, but received no response. Gogoi's conclusion: "Modi can only talk big. But there is a difference between his work and his words."
