Going round in circles to pay a fine

This is strictly FYI, should the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, South Zone, in its new-found zeal, impound your vehicle for “illegal” parking even though you have been paying to park your vehicle in the same spot for a year. The intention is laudable — this is Yusuf Sarai we are talking about, one of south Delhi’s most squalid markets — but since the implementation leaves much to be desired, here’s a primer on what to expect if, like my daughter, you get off the metro at Green Park station to find your car has been impounded “by a crane”.
