Looks like Gujarat is the flavour of the season. After the three-straight-term chief minister of the state Narendra Modi became the prime minister of the country, anybody who is even remotely associated with the state is being looked at with a lot of optimism these days. India's leading software firm Infosys, which had been struggling for the past few years, announced the appointment of former SAP board member Vishal Sikka as its chief recently. Even though Sikka has all the credentials to lead the company and bring it back to its glory days, the fact that he has spent a few years of his early life in Gujarat has led to some obvious comparisons with Modi. And guess what, Modi's election slogan "Achhe din aane wale hain" (good days are coming) has become the unofficial slogan for Infosys these days.
