Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi's sabbatical and subsequent return on Thursday generated immense social media hype. The Twitterati had a field day with quips and wisecracks in 140 characters. Senior journalist Shekhar Gupta tweeted, "#RahulReturns after 57-day self-exile & TV berserk. Thank God there was no news TV when Lord Ram returned after 14-year exile with Ravan scalps." Comedian and actor Vir Das tweeted, "All I'm saying is he's been relaunched so many times, this better be a 13 Inch Gold, Rahul Gandhi Air with Retina Display." Another Twitter user summed up the event thus: "India has now 3 important numbers... 49 days governance... 56 inches chest n (sic) 58 days sabbatical..."
