The first signs of trouble at Price Waterhouse, the auditor for Satyam Computer Services, seem to be surfacing. Several employees are waiting to jump ship. The employees who have not kept in touch with their peers in Indian auditing firms are sending belated New Year messages to them.
A partner of a leading Indian auditing firm who received a few of such messages said “We suddenly started receiving New Year greetings from people who haven’t kept in touch for the past few years.” The New Year greetings landed on or after January 8th. Ramalinga Raju admitted to fudging Satyam’s balance sheet on January 7th.
