Poonam Jha Azad, wife of suspended Bharatiya Janata Party Lok Sabha member and former cricketer Kirti Jha Azad, on Tuesday quit the Aam Aadmi Party, which she had joined five months ago, and switched over to the Congress. Poonam, who took on former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dikshit from Gole Market in the 2003 Assembly elections, termed her joining the Congress as a “homecoming” since her father-in-law Bhagwat Jha Azad was a chief minister of Bihar from the Congress. She denied that her husband might also join the Congress, but added: “Only time will tell, anything can happen, just wait.”
