Slumdog Millionaire may have won accolades the world over, but India Inc thinks it gives out the wrong image of the country. At his special address at the International Brand Conclave in Mumbai, United Breweries chief Vijay Mallya said as much. He said the movie depicted just rural India. “I have shifted my UB office from the outskirts of Bangalore to the heart of the city which is nothing but Manhattan of the United States. I feel proud of my property there.” Slumdog, he said, sent out the wrong message to the world. Mallya wanted Corporate India to send a message to the world about the other India.
