The government’s grievance redressal portal, pgportal.gov.in, was supposed to have made the task of filing complaints against specific departments and ministries easy. A drop-down box on the portal has a list from which a user can pick the department or ministry against which she has a grievance. Consumer activists, however, have a new grievance. One of them said the dropbox did not offer the option of choosing “Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances”, which runs the portal. “We have a grievance against the department that is dealing with public grievances, but how does one complain,” asked a consumer activist.
