In 'delicate' condition

West Bengal Sports and Transport Minister Madan Mitra's swift exit from a hospital on being granted bail in the Saradha scam case on October 31 has prompted both incredulity and humour. Medical practitioners are wondering how the doctors treating Mitra for severe cadio-respiratory and neurological complaints at a Kolkata hospital agreed to let him walk out within 40 minutes of the order of his bail from judicial custody. A meme on a social network has a journalist asking West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee what she thought of Mitra's bail and she replying: "What bail? He was in hospital; he has been discharged". In reality, Banerjee said she did not want to comment on the matter as the case was sub judice. But Mitra's stint outside the hospital was short: he was admitted back on Tuesday morning. Perhaps, the Central Bureau of Investigation moving the Calcutta High Court seeking cancellation of his bail aggravated his 'delicate' condition.
