Member of Parliament (MP) and former Union minister Ramesh Bais initially concentrated his election campaign asking for votes in the name of the Bharatiya Janata Party's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. Now, however, he is playing safe. That's because Congress candidate and former state minister Satyanarayan Sharma has launched a campaign against Bais for seeking votes in Modi's name. Bais has represented the Raipur Lok Sabha constituency for six terms. Sharma has been gleefully highlighting the fact that a six-time MP is seeking votes in someone else's name instead of his own. Bais' managers noted the point and are hastily drawing up an alternative strategy for the campaign. The constituency votes on April 24.
