Ten days into the New Year, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has yet to release the Government of India wall calendar for 2018. The gossip in the corridors of power is that the government is having second thoughts on releasing the Gregorian calendar — issued annually to officials in the ministry — as it is not considered Indian. Every year the Directorate of Advertising and Visual Publicity releases and circulates the calendar.
