The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) seems really worried about the prospects of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) wresting the West Delhi Lok Sabha seat. So, the BJP is going all out to cut into the votes of AAP candidate Jarnail Singh, a former journalist best known for throwing a shoe at P Chidambaram when he was the home minister. After a video did the rounds showing Singh allegedly apologising for his action, two independent candidates with a similar name (Jarnail Singh) also jumped into the poll fray. West Delhi has a large number of Sikh voters and traditionally voted for the BJP. Since Singh recently won a Delhi Assembly seat from this region, AAP's calculation is that he is likely to gain those votes. But that is, if voters know which Jarnail Singh to vote for.
