During the debate on price rise, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Murli Manohar Joshi gave a call to leaders cutting across party lines to join hands to put pressure on the government. But as soon as Joshi looked at CPI(M)’s Basudeb Acharia and asked him to join the cause, Trinamool Congress MP Sudip Banerjee quipped: “Joshiji, don’t take the CPI(M)’s help. You will be ruined.” Joshi, a veteran of many political wars, decided to give it back to the Trinamool. “Earlier, you were with us. Now, if you people have decided to shift sides, what else can we do?”
