The central government may be choosing to stonewall the Aam Aadmi Party's protests in the heart of the capital but the hapless civic body that comes under it does not enjoy that luxury. On Tuesday, an official of the New Delhi Municipal Council, when asked about some key lease renewals, bluntly said he and his organisation were too busy "looking after the toilet and water needs of the chief minister and cohorts in the Rail Bhavan area" to pay attention to anything else.
