Kinder, gentler corruption

The Delhi Police has ordered all its constables and officers monitoring the crowds gathered in support of Anna Hazare outside Tihar Jail to not carry batons and to go easy on protestors. One of them said the police’s sympathy for the cause was another reason it has been “well behaved”. However, when asked whether he indulged in corruption, he said, “Of course I do, but I still support Hazare!”
