Somebody in the Security Printing and Minting Corporation of India has overlooked the fact that there has been a tectonic change in the currency status of the country. The organisation, which prints all the currency notes the public has or hasn’t got, has not yet taken off the facsimile of the old Rs 1,000 from its website — it lists them in “Know Your Products” (currency). And today’s top draw currency, the Rs 2,000 bill, has yet to make an appearance on the website.
