Apropos Anjuli Bhargava’s piece “Making a mountain out of a mole hill” (May 10), it is not a good news that corporate bodies are being allowed to ‘adopt’ historical monuments. The maintenance of historical and heritage sites is the duty of the governments. If the government takes its hands off from all spheres of its responsibility, what are they supposed to do? I find no reason to support such a move. She is correct to state that the government has failed miserably to maintain historical sites and heritage buildings. But the cure to failure is to do the job properly,
