Letters: 2G vs 3G

Business Standard New Delhi

Since the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) has now said that existing firms will be charged for the spectrum they have beyond 6.2 MHz and that the price charged for 2G spectrum will be the same as it is for 3G spectrum, this makes Communication Minister A Raja’s position all the more untenable. It’s ironical that Raja’s success should be going against him since this proves the licences he gave away in 2008 were hopelessly underpriced.
