This refers to the editorial "Show the maths" (March 27). The Congress' manifesto for the general elections exposes the "deficit" of vision in the grand old party. The manifesto, in fact, is the candid admission of the United Progressive Alliance's failure to deliver in the past 10 years, and its intention to hoodwink the electorate again. Rahul Gandhi, the force behind the manifesto, has failed to gauge the voters - 60 per cent of whom are younger than him - who are well informed and expect the government to perform. They cannot be fooled by merely reiterating their rights for "basic" needs, which the government is duty-bound to deliver.
